La conmemoracion de la congre Salto de Ojocaliente 2011

What a beautiful memorial we had this year.  We fell short of our goal of having 500 in attendance but I'm quite happy that 454 could attend.

Most of the brothers and sisters (mainly the sisters) get all decked out for the event and so there is a lot of picture taking at the end.  A lot of sisters have unbelieving husbands and what a joy that many could attend.

Here are some of the pictures...OK most of them :)

We'll start with one of my studies...

This is Ana Lilia and her family.  Ana is very discouraged right now and said that she wasn't going to come.  I was SO happy when I saw them walk in.  I also study with her daughter, Fernanda.  She is one sharp cookie and probably had a lot to do with her mom coming.

I also study with Gaby (on right) and Maida on the left.  They always prepare and are a joy to be around.  We are always laughing.

Some of the young sisters in my hall.

The sister is purple is Sandra.  She just started pioneering and had us over the other night for homemade donuts.  She and her husband are very sweet and very fun.  One of our favorites.

Alma's family.  The brother in the wheelchair is one of our elders.

Elsa with her husband, Alejandro.  She was so happy that he came.

Marisol, Lulu, Emma and I.  I love Lulu and her family.  They told me this week that I've become part of their family so I'm now Vanessa Listol Segovia :)

Only some of the kids

The princesses

The gents

I'm with Adreana, Juanita and their mom Raquel.

Gaby & Andy, Leonora and Lulu

Leonora y Enrique Mendez are great pastry chefs.  They have a small house which is well organized to fit in a professional oven and other supplies needed for their business.  Of course, they sell to all the brothers after the meeting but a little ways from the KH.  I recommend the whole wheat biscuits and the chocoflan, and the tres leches and...
I hope you enjoyed this round of pictures.

Fiesta para el matrimonio Marin

Hi this is my first post and hopefully there will be more to come!

Well, it seems our house is party central.  I guess it's because our living room is larger than most and we like to dance!  So when at the last minute they wanted to have a party for a newlywed couple, Alma was asked to use her house!  So we didn't know who was coming, but come they did.  Here are some pics...
This is Brother Anaya with the welcome sign.  This brother is a trip...very funny.

Here is the happy couple.  He has been in our congregation for a few months.  I just found out last night that they are moving to another congregation.  Hmmm...maybe the party wasn't good enough???

Oh, it was good enough...look at all that dancing!

Elsa on the left and Rosario on the right...two great sisters.  Elsa and I really click well.

Alma's sister Marisol and her hubby Enrique.

Another Marisol and Manuel

The Guzman's

Proof that I was there :)
This is little Jonathan, Alma's nephew.  He loves my dog Taquito.  The feeling is almost mutual.  Jonathan is telling us the party's over it's time to go home!!
